DNA Racing MOTORSPORT Torque Arm
Out of the 3 torque arms that we offer from DNA Racing Components the “MOTORSPORT” torque arm for the FIAT 500 Abarth & 500 Turbo is for the driver that is looking for the LEAST amount of engine movement. This version uses a more rigid motorsport spherical bearing system in place of the factory polyurethane bushings. This system allows the torque to be transmitted instantaneously but it may create vibrations.
The purpose of the torque arm is to reduce shock from making its way back through the transmission which can overload your gears and bearings in the process. Under hard acceleration and turning, the engine and transmission have a lot of movement in the 500. This leads to lost torque and the reason for feeling a vague response from your vehicle in these situations.
